Her Haka

To celebrate France’s progress in the Rugby World Cup, here are some fun snaps of Chiara trying her hand at Haka moves, guided by lead dancer Guilhem. She absolutely nailed the angry face—though her big smiles gave her away in the end!

And don’t worry, we decided to skip the final “killing move.”

MasterChef – Round 1

We had the first round of MasterChef last week-end, featuring Lily vs Patrick. Lot’s of effort by the cooks in a very close contest, with the victory snatched at the last minute (past midnight) by Lily and her strategic dessert suite. The judges were ruthless, maintaining the pressure throughout this night full of drama !

All in all a very enjoyable evening and a great dinner. The BBC reporters could not make the evening, so all the pictures below are taken by Stephane and JP …

Another Rainy August WE

20110806_LON_023

Canon EOS 5D MkII – EF 100mm – 1/125s f/2.8, ISO 100 – With an overcast day, it’s important to find some colourful objects in the picture. I waited a bit to get someone to sit on the bench but Kew was quite empty this day.

Still catching up on overdue posts—here are some highlights from the second weekend of August. Despite the rain, we made the most of Jessica and Matthew’s visit from Singapore. Saturday was spent exploring Kew Gardens, and Sunday took us to Hyde Park, where we somehow managed to dodge most of the downpours.

It was another great opportunity to use our trusty 50mm f/1.8 lens. The last three shots here were taken with it, and it never fails to impress with its sharpness and natural feel.

After a full day with Chiara, though, staying awake past 10 PM feels impossible—she’s non-stop from 6 AM these days! 🏃‍♀️📸🌧️
